Once again, we are proud to announce the Mayor’s Teacher of the Month and Principal of the Year Award programs, which honor San Francisco’s public school teachers and principals who not only exemplify classroom excellence, but also serve as leaders beyond the classroom and demonstrate civic responsibility in the community.
Principals and teachers receiving this award are nominated by the community – parents, youth, educators, administrators, and other community members – for excellence as leaders in their school and their city.
We would like to encourage you to nominate your public school educators for these prestigious awards. All candidates must be nominated by parents, students, colleagues, or community members by Friday, February 13, 2009. Nomination forms can be submitted by mail or electronically. Please help us get the word out to your membership, community, parents, etc.
