DonorsChoose October Challenge!

DonorsChoose is a great resource for cash-strapped public schools–teachers post projects and donors choose which projects to help fund. Every October, DonorsChoose issues a Social Media Challenge to bloggers and their networks to reach out and encourage those donors to give!

Here is a link to all current projects needing funding in SFUSD; I chose to make a small donation to this one, posted by the teacher of a very deserving Pre-K autism classroom. It’s a request for tumbling mats to help her young students engage in active play. Sad that our system is so threadbare that we are reduced to begging online.

Anyway, I know that whatever you can give to any of these deserving projects will be greatly appreciated!

An appeal

I can’t say enough about what PPS-SF has done for San Francisco parents, and by extension, San Francisco public schools.
